There's no trendy menu here, no dishes with names you can't pronounce. There's honest Cuban food — the kind you'd get at your cousin's house when company comes over.
Pan con lechón (roast pork sandwich). Masitas de puerco (fried pork chunks) with exactly the right amount of fat they need to have. Perico revuelto done the way it should be. Pizza with chorizo, because in Miami cultures don't clash — they hug. Bistec a caballo with the eggs on top, crispy outside, creamy inside. And on Mondays, pollo fricasé (chicken fricassee) — because there are days the soul asks for that and nothing else.
